What started as a broken dishwasher turned into something much bigger.
For more than 20 years, this seasonal beach house has been the backdrop for summers filled with family memories. What began as a gathering place for two parents and four young children is now welcoming grandchildren and a whole new generation.

As the family grew, they realized they had been adapting to a kitchen that simply wasn’t keeping up. Together, we refreshed the space with new cabinetry, countertops, and appliances, while removing a load-bearing wall to create an open, inviting layout that makes cooking, entertaining, playing cards, and spending time together far more enjoyable.
Because this is a summer home, completing the project during the off-season was essential. We carefully planned the renovation so the family could return in time for Father’s Day and kick off another summer together—this time in a kitchen designed to serve their family for years to come.
Sometimes it takes something as simple as a broken dishwasher to jump start the process of building a home that works better for the way your family is living today.
