This Southern Maine kitchen refresh transformed a dated space without requiring a full kitchen remodel. By refinishing solid wood cabinets, replacing outdated flooring, removing the popcorn ceiling, and adding modern lighting, Great Northern Builders delivered a fresh, updated kitchen while preserving recently installed countertops and appliances.

The homeowners had just updated their appliances and countertop relatively recently, so they were thrilled to learn that Great Northern Builders could help refresh the existing kitchen cabinets so that they would be able to keep the countertops in place.
Working with Sherwin Williams, our painter was able to color match to meet the clients preferred colors. The lowers were matched to ‘Celeste’ and the uppers to ‘Sea Salt’
The linoleum flooring was replaced with CORETek Pro Plus XL vinyl plank in “Phoenix”
We also included a favorite kitchen amenity: under cabinet lighting. We also scraped the textured ceiling and refinished the ceiling with a new skim coat to smooth it out.
Kitchen remodel projects don’t have to be a full gut job. We’re always happy to meet with you to discuss your unique kitchen situation.
