What features do you need to make a fantastic setup for a primary suite to relax in?

In this project, there were some pretty specific features the homeowners wanted in their primary suite renovation.

Using the empty space created by the window dormers was important. In the dormer spaces, we created custom bench seats that also serve as storage space.

In the bathroom, a separate bath and tub were important for these homeowners. They also wanted plenty of storage and a seated vanity area for getting ready in the morning. A must have features for these folks is the Toto washlet bidet seat.

Using these ‘must haves’ our team got to work connecting all the dots to bring together a primary suite to relax in! The tub was a once in a lifetime find at the Old House Parts yard in Kennebunk, Maine. The original tub was in near perfect condition. We refinished the piece in a color that was suited to the color palette of the room.

The feature wall behind the tub is finished in a green Grass cloth textured wall paper.

The makeup vanity included a custom built in to store all of a lady’s everyday needs! The shower is outfitted in Swanstone shower panels and glass enclosure.

Here are some features you might consider to make your space even a primary suite to relax in:

  1. Custom Built-In Storage:
    • Walk-In Closet: A spacious walk-in closet with built-in shelves, drawers, and hanging space for organized storage.

    • Dressing Area: A small, well-lit area with a full-length mirror and seating.
